Welcome to CraftBeer AI. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the CraftBeer AI mobile application (“App”) operated by CraftBeer AI (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the App, you confirm that you are at least 17 years old and agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the App.
2. Description of Service
CraftBeer AI is a mobile application that uses artificial intelligence to identify beers from label scans, provide flavor profile analysis, and help users manage their beer collection. The App offers both free and premium subscription features.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
3.1 Subscription Plans
CraftBeer AI offers the following auto-renewable subscription options:
- Monthly Subscription: Billed monthly at the current subscription price
- Annual Subscription: Billed annually at the current subscription price
3.2 Free Trial
We may offer a free trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the applicable rate.
3.3 Billing and Renewal
- Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
- Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price
- Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription
3.4 Managing Your Subscription
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID Account Settings. To avoid being charged for the next billing period, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the current subscription period ends.
3.5 Refunds
All purchases are processed through Apple. Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple in accordance with their refund policies.
4. User Accounts
4.1 Account Creation
You may use the App anonymously or create an account using Apple Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
4.2 Account Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information
- Maintain the security of your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
5. User Content
5.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of content you create, including reviews, ratings, and tasting notes. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute such content within the App.
5.2 Content Guidelines
You agree not to post content that:
- Is illegal, harmful, or offensive
- Infringes intellectual property rights
- Contains spam or misleading information
- Promotes irresponsible alcohol consumption
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App
- Interfere with or disrupt the App’s functionality
- Reverse engineer or decompile the App
- Use automated systems to access the App
- Resell or redistribute the App or its content
7. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, features, content, and trademarks, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
8. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with third-party services including OpenAI, Supabase, and RevenueCat. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
9. Disclaimers
9.1 Service Availability
The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
9.2 AI Accuracy
Beer identification and information provided by our AI may not always be accurate. We recommend verifying information independently, especially for allergy or health-related concerns.
9.3 Alcohol Consumption
This App is for informational purposes only. We do not encourage excessive alcohol consumption. Please drink responsibly and in accordance with local laws.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new Terms in the App. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict of law principles.
